Not just him - but almost everyone i knew were supporting Brazil! Can't blame them. If it was any other team they were facing other than Netherlands or Spain, i would have been supporting them too. And dun forget they are ranked as the no. 1 team in the world at this point of time.
So it was no big surprise when the Brazilians took the early lead. I was still in a prayer and sharing session and blocked it out of my head.
By the time i got home, the scored was tied at one goal each. Then it became more interesting as Netherlands scored another one more and Brazil was reduced to 10 men.
Yet, one writes off Brazil at their own peril. And credit to them, with 10 men, they fought to the very end. It was nerve wrecking for me - the 3 minutes of injury time felt like forever. I couldn't sit down and was pacing around like a man waiting for his wife to give birth!
But they held on - against all odds.
7-11 - i think that Kuyt can run none stop for 24 hours!!!
