I'd do anything* - The cast of Oliver!

Let me get one thing clear first - i'm not a fan of Ghana. Still, i am grieved for them. They were knocked out when they should have made it to the semis - if everyone played with the right sportsmanship attitude.

It was a blatant and intentional foul committed by Suárez - totally despicable to me. There was nothing he could do legally (he admitted himself) so he decided to do the illegal and play dirty.

The hands of god appearing behind the goalie???

A small price to pay compared to Ghana's loss

I'm saddened not because i'm a Ghana fan (as stated earlier) - but because i am a fan of football. I love the game. But what has it descended into now? One thing i love about the game is seeing how the players will fight (fairly) and give their all to win. But at the final whistle, they all shake hands, some embrace and exchange jerseys. Wonderful spirit!

But not anymore. Now it's to win at all costs - even at the price of throwing sportsmanship down the drain.

What saddens me most is that many people are considering Suárez a hero!

He has brought the game into disrepute. Imagine the kind of examples he will be setting. Who knows - a player may decide to 'sacrifice' himself and break Messi's leg in order that they beat Argentina. Will that be acceptable?

But unfortunately, these days, people will do anything to get their own way. Sad. So sad.

*One of the unforgettable songs from this brilliant musical!
