At the end of the day, with the kind of central defenders they have, with Rooney playing the way he does and still being played, and with the tactics of the Coach, would they have gone far anyways?
But i feel really bad for Gerrard - played out of position for the entire World Cup, he was clearly their best player. And for him this is really the end.
