But seriously... i'm not. Having said that, sometimes i feel that i shud just keep me mouth shut. After all, we do have sayings like "spoke too soon" and "famous last words" for a reason.
Last nite, we spent the greater part of it standing around the bar, munching on chocs and skittles and chatted away. There were no customers at all. "Ah, we can actually go back early tonite", i thought out loud. I was quickly hushed into silence and everyone reached for something wooden to touch!!!
Fast forward to 15 mins b4 closing time and we were doing the necessary cleaning before shutting the place - when lo and behold, a group of drunken middle-aged locals appeared at our doors and asked for a table.
They left after midnite. Me workmates who were vocally cursing the late nite customers must have been silently cursing me for "jinxing" them by opening me big mouth!!!!!
I never learn, tho. When i got back, i blogged the previous post on how uneventful and slow-going this year has been.
Me world has been been made topsy turvy today...
